Ur24Technology has developed an innovative solution to prevent Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infections (CAUTIs). This revolutionary catheter system is non-invasive, non-adhesive and easy to apply. Ur24Technology has designed a TrueClr external catheter system that is unique to adult males, adult females, and pediatric patients.
Indwelling catheters can cause pain/discomfort at the time of insertion and while it remains in the patient. Moreover, one of the biggest concerns with indwelling catheters is the risk for an Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). Catheter-associated UTIs make up approximately 80% of all hospital acquired Urinary Tract Infections. According to the CDC, 15-25% of hospitalized patients receive a urinary catheter during their stay. Urinary Tract Infections can lead to very serious consequences such as kidney infections, kidney disease, kidney damage, and even sepsis.
There are many differences between the patented Ur24T TrueClr external catheters and other external catheters on the market. Three of the most important differences are the TrueClr Catheters virtually eliminate the risk of a Urinary Tract Infection from an indwelling catheter. And, the Ur24T TrueClr Catheters do not require the patient to have the necessary muscle control needed to urinate, nor the ability to recognize that the bladder needs to be emptied. The Ur24T TrueClr Catheters empty the bladder without any effort by the patient. The TrueClr external catheter features a 10 foot tube that attaches to a urine collection collector and a pump. The pump gently extracts the urine, while the built-in filter and unique float valve located in the unit's bottle assembly prevents backflow into the unit. As a result, urine avoids contacting the skin and eliminates potential bacteria contamination.
The TrueClr M+ can empty the bladder on demand. This device has more suction power without increasing the suction. The size and lighter weight make it great for wheelchair-bound individuals and anyone who needs more efficient evacuation.

What components are needed for the Ur24T TrueClr Male Catheter System?
For at home usage, the reusable TrueClr Urine Collection Apparatus (UCA), which is the catheter that is applied to the body, and an aspirator pump are needed. Most hospitals and nursing homes have wall-mounted suction devices, so the UCA is needed.
What is the difference between the TrueClr M model and the TrueClr M+ model?
The TrueClr M model is ideal for men wanting a good night of rest (continuous usage). TrueClr M is designed to evacuate the bladder with symptoms from BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia/Enlarged Prostate), or other common urinary complications.
The TrueClr M+ model offers the same benefits as the TrueClr M but is approximately 50% smaller in size and weight. The TrueClr M+ can actively empty the bladder on demand. It has more suction power without increasing the suction level of the aspirator. The size and lighter weight makes it ideal for wheelchair bound individuals and anyone who needs more efficient evacuation.
Which aspirator is recommended?
Gomco 405, Vacu-Aide QSU Quiet Suction Unit (7314P-D-UR240), Vacu-Aide Compact Suction Unit (#7310PR), or healthcare facility in-wall aspirator all work with all the TrueClr catheters. We recommend the Vacu-Aide QSU Quiet Suction Unit. The QSU aspirator sound measures 55dB. When it comes to sound 55dB is the equivalent of a normal conversation, or the sound of a dishwasher running or most home oxygen concentrators. However, choosing an aspirator is based on the patient's preference. If the patient wants a smaller unit, then the Vacu-Aide Compact aspirator may fit their need. For patients with severe urine retention, then the Gomco 405 may suit them best, because of the higher level of suction.
Is the aspirator easy to use?
The aspirator has an easy-to-read mm Hg graph gauge, which helps patients and caregivers provide precise measurements of the vacuum pressure. The Ur24T TrueClr System does not require any medical training.
How large is the collection system?
The Vacu-Aide QSU aspirator collects 800cc, the Gomco 405 collects 1200cc, and the Vacu-Aide Compact Suction Unit collects 725cc.
How does the system prevent bacterial contamination?
The Ur24T TrueClear collection system has a built-in bacteria filter located in the unit's bottle assembly. It has a unique float valve that prevents backflow into the unit.
Can I reuse the Urine Collection Apparatus (UCA)?
Ur24T TrueClr Urine Collection Apparatus (UCA) is for a single user. The patient may use the UCA for a maximum of 30 days for at home use, or 15 days in hospital use. After the recommended time, a new UCA is suggested.
What maintenance is required for the system?
Ur24T TrueClr is recommended for a single user. After each use, apply suggested antibacterial spray and/or wash with soap and water. Some users prefer to use an irrigation catheter syringe when cleaning to flush water through the tubing.
Does the Ur24T TrueClr Catheter qualify for Medicare reimbursement?
Ur24T TrueClear is covered by Medicare and qualifies for reimbursement under Part B DME. Many private insurance companies will cover part of most of cost. We suggest that you check with your insurance company first. The customer is solely responsible for obtaining reimbursement through their insurance plan.
