D-Mannose is a type of sugar found in cranberries and other fruits that support a healthy urinary tract. It is believed that most of the d-mannose ingested is discarded through the body’s urine which may help to flush out the urinary tract. D-mannose is antibacterial so as it covers the urinary tract it discourages bacteria from sticking to the urinary tract lining. E-coli is one of the leading bacterias that cause urinary tract infections, but d-mannose works wells at defending against it.
