Stress is defined as a state of mental or emotional strain or tension that is resulting from demanding circumstances.  The unfortunate part of stress is that it is a part of your life, no matter how hard you try to avoid it.

Stress can come at you from many directions, including work, family, health, and finances.  Although there is nothing you can do to avoid stress, there are things you can do to let its effect lessen in your life.

  • Dance to the Music – Take some time to relieve stress by dancing, which is a great form of exercise that you may actually enjoy.  Exercise releases endorphins that will make you feel great inside.  Music while you are dancing is also a way to relieve stress and trigger biochemical stress reducers that assist in treating stress.
  • Laugh out Loud – Take the time to laugh a little bit.  Laughing can release stress and bring back some joy in your life.  Watch a funny movie, go to the comedy club, or enjoy a night out with friends.
  • Essential Oils – Consider some aromatherapy in your life.  Essential oils have been used over the centuries to cure when traditional medicine was not an option.  Lavender, chamomile, rose, and frankincense are great options to provide soothing relief from the stresses of everyday life.  You can diffuse them into the air or put them in a nice bath.  They can even be rubbed on your skin and absorbed for a wonderful, peaceful benefit.
