Disc Gard+ is Dee Cee Labs newest product for nutritional support of the intervertebral disc. As a side benefit, the nutrients in Disc Gard also happen to support other soft tissues as well. When the pain of a disc bulge, herniated disc, disc protrusion or other disc injury occurs; ice and bed rest, as well as proper nutritional support as found in Disc Gard Plus may be paramount in improving recovery times. Glucosamine in Disc-Gard+ Glucosamine is needed to form glycosaminoglycan and hyaluronic acid molecules which are the main constituents of joint cartilage. It is the joint cartilage that is damaged from osteoarthritis. Glucosamine sulfate may help protect joint cartilage by limiting the breakdown and helping to build up levels of cartilage. Glucosamine has been shown to stimulate chondrocytes (cartilage cells) to support cartilage and collagen. Glucosamine also enters the joint space and is incorporated into proteoglycans, which are cells that form large structures and attract water to the joint space for lubrication of cartilage during movement. When Glucosamine is taken as a dietary supplement, it may help to relieve the pain, stiffness, and swelling of osteoarthritis, a degenerative joint disorder that affects 12% of the population. In addition, rheumatoid arthritis sufferers also report improvements with glucosamine supplements. There is no natural food source of glucosamine, however, the shells of crabs, shrimp and oysters do contain it, and this is the source of most of the dietary supplements. Disc Gard June 3, 2013 Reviewer: Nancy from Brick, NJ United States   Love this company.  My husband needed Disc Gard for his back condition which were recommended by his Chiropractor.  We ordered from another company who I had to verbally contact after 2 weeks only to find out the order was on backorder.  I then placed an order with EarthTurns and the pills were in the mail to us the very same day.  Placed another order a week later and again, the order was in the mail the very same day.  Love, love this company.  Will not use any other company when ordering vitamins and supplements that aren't available locally.  EarthTurns is the absolute best!!! A++ September 9, 2012 Reviewer: LauraLyn from Portland, OR United States   My husband has been taking Disc Gard now for over 15 years for deteriorating discs in his back. You need to take it for at least 3 months before you start to feel a difference, after that if you don't think you feel a difference then try going with out it and then you will probably feel that difference, I know my husband sure does.
