Description
"Acetyl-L-Carnitine is a naturally occurring amino acid that has been verified in human clinical trials to treat age related mental decline. Because of these findings, it is being used in high doses and in combination with other medications to treat senile dementias. It may also play a role as a neuroprotective agent and may possibly be used for patients with strokes, Alzheimer's disease and Down's syndrome. Some studies suggest that acetyl-L-carnitine may also have anti-aging properties. Research has also been promising with regards to acetyl-L-carnitine's possible favorable effect on sperm motility.*
